Focus and Scope

Recht: Journal of Legal Studies focuses on the development and dissemination of legal scholarship that examines contemporary legal issues from both theoretical and practical perspectives. The journal aims to contribute to the advancement of legal knowledge by publishing high-quality research articles, conceptual papers, and critical legal analyses.

The primary focus of the journal includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:

  • Business Law, including corporate law, contract law, competition law, banking and finance law, capital markets, and commercial dispute resolution;

  • Criminal Law, encompassing substantive criminal law, criminal procedure, criminology, penal policy, and the criminal justice system;

  • Constitutional Law, covering constitutional theory, state institutions, constitutional rights, judicial review, and governance within a constitutional framework.

In addition to these core areas, Recht: Journal of Legal Studies also welcomes manuscripts addressing general legal issues, interdisciplinary legal studies, and analyses of recent legal developments, provided that they offer a clear contribution to legal scholarship.

The journal encourages submissions employing diverse research approaches, including normative legal research, doctrinal analysis, comparative legal studies, and socio-legal perspectives, with relevance to national and international legal contexts.
