Author Guidelines
1. General Information
Recht: Journal of Legal Studies is a peer-reviewed, open access journal published by the Institute for Legal Research and Studies (LPKH), Faculty of Law, Universitas Trisakti. The journal publishes original and high-quality manuscripts that have not been previously published or are not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
The journal is published biannually, in March and October.
2. Scope of the Journal
Manuscripts submitted to the journal must be relevant to the journal’s focus and scope, particularly in the fields of:

Criminal Law

Constitutional Law
Submissions addressing general legal issues, interdisciplinary legal studies, or contemporary legal developments are also welcomed, provided they contribute meaningfully to legal scholarship.
3. Types of Manuscripts
The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:

Conceptual or Theoretical Papers

4. Language
Manuscripts may be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia. Authors are responsible for ensuring clarity, consistency, and proper academic language usage.
5. Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts should generally include the following components:

Abstract (in English and/or Bahasa Indonesia, 150–250 words)

6. Formatting Requirements

Manuscripts should be typed in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx)

Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt

Line spacing: 1.5

Paper size: A4

Margins: Normal (2.5 cm on all sides)

Length: 5,000–8,000 words, including references
7. Citation and References
All citations and references must follow a consistent citation style. Authors are encouraged to use a recognized legal citation style (e.g., APA Style, Chicago, or other relevant legal citation standards), provided it is applied consistently throughout the manuscript.
Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.
8. Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are prepared in a way that does not reveal their identity to reviewers.
The editorial board reserves the right to accept, request revisions, or reject manuscripts based on the reviewers’ recommendations.
9. Open Access Policy
Recht: Journal of Legal Studies applies a full open access policy. All published articles are freely accessible without subscription fees or access barriers.
The journal does not charge any submission or publication fees.
10. Copyright and License
Copyright of the published article remains with the author(s). Authors grant the journal the right of first publication.
All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0), which permits non-commercial use, distribution, and adaptation of the work, provided proper credit is given to the author(s) and the journal.
11. Plagiarism Policy
Submitted manuscripts must be original works. The journal applies plagiarism screening to ensure academic integrity. Manuscripts containing plagiarism or unethical academic practices will be rejected.
12. Submission Process
All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s Online Journal System (OJS). Authors are required to register as users and follow the submission steps provided on the journal website.
